Making a limousine is not an easy task and it requires lots of expertise in many fields. Such fields include expert mechanics, engineers, fabricators, machinists, electricians, welders and interior professionals.

The process usually begins with a stock vehicle purchased from the dealer and stripped. Once stripped the vehicle which can be pretty much any type of vehicle from Lincoln to hummer to Escalade and even exotic cars such as the Rolls Royce Phantom or even sports cars such as corvettes or Porsche. Once the car is stripped it is then carefully cut into half.

Once the vehicle is in half, the chassis or the frame of the car is extended through welding which creates the stretch car also known as the limo.Limo.

It is absolutely vital that this process is done perfectly as incorrect welding or the extension of the chassis can cause the car to be unsafe and even break. It is imperative that the professionals conducting this part of the process have the experience and knowledge to properly do the welding and machining to produce a road safe vehicle.

After the chassis and or frame of the vehicle is properly modified the additional outer panels are then added on to the car. With the exterior of the vehicle complete it is time to add the luxury interior upgrades to the car. These upgrades usually include lighting, integrated refrigerator, deluxe stereo system and TVs. Other upgrades can include laser light shows as well as a wet bar and sometimes even a Jacuzzi.

It is not recommended that anyone outside of the professionals to attempt to build their own limousine. If you do not have the proper training, funding and experience in this field you are likely to destroy the vehicle at the production stage or worst, when the vehicle is on the road.
